AIRHART, Steven -
With heavy hearts our family has had to say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, and Papa. Steven peacefully passed on September 26th, 2019 in his 76th year. Predeceased by his parents Jean and Allen Airhart. Steven was the loving husband of Anne (McCauley). Steven was a beloved father to Stephanie Morton (Rich), Samuel (Kelsi), and Amy Airhart-Sheldon (Brian) and proud Papa to Katherine, Richard, Thorn and Griffith. He is survived by two brothers, Mac (Vonla) of Wheaton, Illinois and Bob of Savanna, Illinois. He was an active member of the Stirling and District Horticultural Society, Peterborough Master Gardeners Association, and long time volunteer at Centre Hastings Secondary School Greenhouse. Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Stephanie and Rich Morton; 19 Prest Road, Marmora, on October 19th between the hours of 1 and 4. Steve was a kind and generous member of our Peterborough Master Gardener group. He shared seeds with us and his love of growing things showed when he spoke to us about starting seeds. Steve would have celebrated 15 years as a Master Gardener this fall. His expertise and gentle passion will be missed by all in our group.

I am incredibly sorry for your family’s loss. Steve was such a fantastic man, I remember him as a child when I was at Marmora Senior and Earl Prentice. Anne you were also one of my teachers, you’re so loving and caring. Steve was a lucky man. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time, xo❤️

Steve was a great neighbour and friend. On my route, sometimes he'd would be outside and we would chat about flowers, gardens, weather, the fields and life in general. At CHSS, and outside, he was a perfect teacher for those that wanted to learn about planting flowers and any kind of vegetables. I will miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time and always. Another one taken away too soon, but may he fly with the other angels. Deb, Paul & Brett McInroy

Anne,
May God support you and your family during this tragic time. Steve was wonderful man and kind to everyone. I still enjoy his lovely lilies every year. You are in my prayers.
