COOKE, Olive Marjorie of Stirling, passed away peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on August 20, 2019 in her 93rd year. Olive was the daughter of the late Nellie and John Ross and loving wife for 42 years to Dan Cooke, who died in 1988. Loving mother of David (Alison), Alan (Mary) and Douglas (Diana), predeceased by son, Ivan, who died in 1993. Dear grandmother to Michael (Joan), Jennifer, Sara (Ted), Matthew, Susan (Olaf), Rosemary (Jayson) and Scott. Loved by eight great-grandchildren: Chloe, Isaac, Finn, Madelyn, Daniel, Benjamin, James and Juniper. Olive is survived by her sister, Carol (Ron) Badgley of Belleville and was predeceased by brothers Harold and Earl Ross. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews in the Ross-Cooke families. Active and independent right up to the end, she was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s United Church Women, Ivanhoe Women’s Institute, an avid euchre player and the centre of her family. We thank all her church and Institute friends, her friends at the 55 Club and Thursday euchre group at the Stirling Legion and two special friends Pat Ashley and Mary Elliott. Visitation will take place at the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL, 87 James St., Stirling (613-395-2424) on Thursday, August 29th, 2019 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8pm. Her funeral will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, Stirling on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at 2:00p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time. Reverend Ken Norman officiating.
