SMITH, Nellie Passed away peacefully at Hastings Manor on Sunday, September 29th, 2019, in her 102nd year. Loving daughter of the late John and Minnie Morrison. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Smith. Dear mother to Eleanor Davidson (Late Bill), Roger Smith (Geraldine), and Ken Smith (Sue Anne). Proud grandmother to Brad, Anna, Heidi, Rob, Terri-Leigh, and Michael and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Millie Carr (late Percy), Mary Bedford-Moore (late Jim), and Frances Merrick (Bob). Predeceased by her siblings Edna, Alice, and Morris. Will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL 87 James St., Stirling (613-395-2424) on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 from 11:00 a.m till 1:00 p.m. with service to follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family. My deepest condolences to Nellie's family. I stayed with her while performing in Stirling many years ago and happened to come across a lovely note from her today. I'm grateful to have known her. Rest in peace sweet Nellie!
