Janet grew up in Tweed and Richmond Hill, graduated from York University in Toronto and lived for many years in Belleville. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher and had a long career in elementary education, primarily in Deseronto. Janet was an accomplished artist who created works in numerous different medias. Her artistic talents were also reflected in the dozens of dolls she created, many depicting ordinary men and women from an earlier era and by the season by season creativity in the way she displayed her many collections in her beloved historic home. Janet was preceded by her parents Arthur and Dorothy Leman, her husband Tom and son, Matthew. She will be missed by cousins Stephanie Leman and Judi Libman and other family members and by friends whose lives she touched over the years in such positive ways.
