Obituary for Andrew Edward Jerome Durant
DURANT, Andrew Edward Jerome (Andy)-
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Andy Durant, formerly of Alton, Ontario on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 at the age of 70. Son of the late Rennie & Julia Durant. Beloved husband of 22 years to Linda Durant (nee Dryden). Proud father of Andy Durant (Laurielea), Kelly Levesque (Joe) and Jenny-Lee Durant. He will also be sadly missed by Ken McGivern (Ines Bjelicia) and Debi McGivern. Much loved grandfather to Jaimee, Jason, Nicolas, Morgan, Aidan, Matthew and Christopher. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Durant and will be fondly remembered by many friends and family, as well as his much loved companion Hershey.
Andy Durant was a generous, kind, loyal, patient and loving man with a good sense of humour and out look on life. A man who loved fishing, camping, boats, antique cars and his family. He was born in New Brunswick, spent many years in Alton before retiring to Belleville.
In keeping with Andy’s wishes cremation arrangements have been made with the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588). A BBQ Potluck Celebrating Andy's Life will be held on Sunday, September 15th, 2019 at 447 Massassauga Rd. Belleville from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Please bring your musical instruments (guitars, spoons, etc.) stories, memories, laughs and chairs to celebrate his wonderful short life.
If desired, in lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Quinte Humane Society are appreciated.
