Obituary for Beverley Joan Russell (Baker)

RUSSELL, Beverley Joan-

Mom passed away peacefully September 3, 2019, age 83 years. She spent her last day at Kingston General Hospital and, in her final hours, was comfortable for the first time in months.
Daughter of the late William Edward Baker and the late Viola Louise (Corscadden), wife and sweetheart of the late David Ronald Russell, Mom was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Baker, and is survived by her friend and sister-in-law, Betty Baker.
Mom's humour, warmth and zest for life will be fondly remembered by her sons David (Wendy) and Bruce, her grandchildren Cameron, Mackenzie, Lyndsay, Katie-Jo and Gordon, as well as the numerous close friends and family who, depending on their vintage, knew her as 'Granny B' or 'Auntie Bev'.

The family will receive friends at the Stirling Funeral Chapel, 87 James Street, Stirling, on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. , and Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service to follow in the funeral home at 1 o'clock. Pastor Rodney Smith officiating. Interment Mont Nebo Cemetery, Springbrook.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Victoria Order of Nurses, or Kingston General Hospital, would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers who helped make her last weeks and months as comfortable as possible, from VON nurses to all the staff at KGH, the Stirling Guardian Pharmacy as well as the friends and neighbours, too numerous to mention, who would visit, call, message, and just generally "be there" for her. Mom ultimately lost her fight with cancer, but we know she would want the record to reflect that she won her final euchre game.
